Overview
The British Embassy Kinshasa is looking for a partner to deliver protection, livelihood and nutrition support in the East of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Up to £28 million is available for this project to run from Autumn 2023 until 31 March 2026.
This call for proposals is open until Monday 31 July 2023.
What the fund will achieve
The proposed project should deliver the following outcomes:
- outcome 3 (prevent): the food security and nutrition situation of households are improved
- outcome 2 (protect): vulnerable households are protected, able to access humanitarian assistance and to recover from the effects of violence
These outcomes will be achieved through:
- supporting vulnerable households to recover from shocks and restart livelihoods
- addressing levels of malnutrition
- preventing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and supporting survivors of abuse and SGBV
- providing protection assistance to enhance the safety, dignity, and rights of people in areas of greatest humanitarian need
We are looking for not-for-profit organisations or partnerships (non-government, civil society and research organisations) currently active in DRC.
The grant could include a small number of quick ‘nimble’ analysis/research pieces against emerging needs.
