The Science & Innovation Network in South Korea promotes and facilitates collaboration between the UK and South Korea on key science and innovation themes.

To promote international collaboration, the ## Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office jointly fund the UK Science and Innovation Network based in 45 countries around the world.

The UK and Korea have enjoyed a long collaborative relationship since signing a Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement in 1985. As part of a biennial review of cooperation activities, the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) works with the Korean Ministries of Science and ICT (MSIT), Trade, Industry & Energy (MOTIE) and Health & Welfare (MOHW) to agree on new areas of collaboration. SIN supports knowledge exchange and networking workshops between researchers in the UK and Korea in areas of mutual interests.

SIN South Korea is a contact point for British universities, research institutions and innovation agencies to find the right contacts and funding sources to achieve their objectives in South Korea. We currently have four staffs based at the British Embassy in Seoul.
