This consultation seeks comments and views on the contents of the environmental report for the European Regional Development Fund as part of the 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. This is a non-technical summary prepared as part of the strategic environmental assessment.
The European Regional and Development Fund operational programme is the main document for setting out the strategy and priorities for use of the fund to support the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It also contains high level information on how the fund will be delivered, managed and evaluated including partnership arrangements.
The government is seeking feedback on the impact of the strategies outlined in the operational programme which could have environmental effects.
To ensure we provide partners with the opportunity to comment on and provide views on the environmental impact the operational programme could have, a consultation is being conducted before submission to the European Commission.
