Details

These documents set out the outcomes of the A303, A358 and A30 corridor feasibility study.

The leaflet provides a simple overview of this study and its outcomes. The report provides more detail of our decisions following the study.

The study was conducted to identify opportunities and investment solutions for improving the A303, A358 and A30 corridor connecting the south west and south east. There are over 35 miles of single carriageway on the route which act as bottlenecks for users, causing congestion, accidents and delays. These reports look at upgrading remaining single carrriageway sections to dual carriageway standard and creating an ‘expressway’ between the M5 at Taunton and the A303.

The results of the study informed our ‘Road investment strategy’ (RIS) and particularly the ‘RIS investment plan’.
