Details

Following a court judgement, the council were asked to consider the case for retroperitoneal fibrosis associated with occupational exposure to asbestos.

Having reviewed the evidence, the council concluded that while there was a suggestion of an association, on the evidence available, they could not recommend any changes to the list of prescribed diseases for which people can claim Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit.
