Details

The prevalence of many endemic diseases in farm animals is too high. This report identifies a range of measures to promote positive animal health and prevent diseases affecting farm animals. When disease does occur, early recognition and rapid, effective treatment are essential to reduce welfare impact.

The report emphasises the importance of the farm animal veterinarian, who is second only to the stockperson in ensuring that farm animals are treated humanely.
