The strategy seeks to increase join-up, and ensure that the benefits of scientific collaboration continue to improve policy-making and enforcement practice.

The strategy identifies a range of research priorities to support the current and future needs of the Organised Crime Strategy; and, sets out government priorities for improving communication and co-ordination on organised crime research.
