Monitor commissioned Capita to provide an opinion on whether the reference cost submissions were accurate for the 75 audited trusts.

This report summarises the findings of the audits and draws conclusions.

The audited NHS providers have been asked to develop an action plan to address their respective findings. Monitor expects the providers’ audit committees to oversee the implementation of these action plans.
