Details

This report sets out a transport strategy for the north of England. It presents a vision for a north which:

  • has a vibrant and growing economy
  • acts as a magnet for inward investment
  • capitalises on the strengths of northern cities to build a northern powerhouse

This is a vision that has been developed jointly by government, northern city regions and local enterprise partnerships (LEPs). They have worked together and with Highways England, Network Rail and HS2 Ltd as the Transport for the North Partnership Board.
