One of the measures introduced in the Payment Protection Insurance Market Investigation Order 2011 (the Order) was that all customers would receive an annual reminder from their provider setting out the cost of their payment protection insurance (PPI). a reminder of their right to cancel and other important information. RBS failed to send annual reminders to 10,730 customers. The CMA has issued RBS with Directions designed to ensure compliance with the Order.
RBSG Directions revoked
11 August 2022: The CMA today revoked the Directions given to RBSG (now NatWest Group plc) on 23 August 2019 on confirmation that it had met the requirements outlined in the Directions.
