This report investigates how the public feels about:

  • the importance of the strategic road network (SRN) to England’s economy and their own lives
  • investment in the SRN

The findings are presented in relation to demographic, and the frequency and type of use of the SRN.

The report also contains comparative findings from 3 waves of research on investment in roads and perceptions of drivers of growth.

All waves were carried out via the TNS in-home CAPI Omnibus survey, interviewing 3,512 adults living in England in June 2013, 3,492 in September 2013 and 3,448 in September 2014.
