Details

This report focuses on how we can use behavioural science to support healthcare professionals to reduce the incidence of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI).

It builds on previous work that identified barriers and facilitators to healthcare professionals’ behaviours related to CAUTI, by examining the content of interventions (both those reported in the academic research literature and those that have been implemented nationally) and using behaviour change frameworks to assess whether those interventions are a good theoretical match for the barriers identified in earlier work.
