Details

Ribble Estuary NNR in Merseyside has increased in size. The additional areas of NNR will be managed by Natural England, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the Lytham and District Wildfowlers Association (under a Nature Reserve Agreement).

Part of the NNR that was previously managed by Natural England will now be managed by the RSPB.

A separate area of the NNR that was previously included in the site will no longer be held and managed by Natural England as a nature reserve.

The rest of the NNR will continue to be managed by Natural England.

See the maps for the areas of land affected by these changes.
