Canllawiau i geidwaid gwartheg yng Nghymru a'r Alban ynghylch pam y profir gwartheg am TB buchol, sut y caiff y profion eu cynnal a sut i baratoi ar gyfer y profion.

O dan y gyfraith mae’n ofynnol i unrhyw un sy’n cadw gwartheg drefnu i’w hanifeiliaid gael eu profi am TB buchol.

Profir gwartheg ar ôl cyfnod penodol (un neu bedair blynedd) yn dibynnu ar ba sir y lleolir y fuches ynddi, a’r risg o glefyd yn yr ardal honno.

Mae’r rhaglen brofi’n cadarnhau statws clefyd TB buches ac mae’n bwysig gwneud y canlynol:

  • nodi pa wartheg sydd wedi’u heintio â TB buchol
  • atal TB buchol rhag ymledu i wartheg ac anifeiliaid eraill
  • atal poen i’r gwartheg oherwydd haint
  • diogelu iechyd y cyhoedd

  1. This guidance has been updated as a result of the extension of the use of the TB PCR test to all post-mortem samples from bovine animals on 14 February 2024.

  2. This guidance has been updated due to legislative changes in Wales on 1 February 2024.
