About
This release provides further analysis on volunteering using data from both the Community Life Survey and the Taking Part Survey, both commissioned by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
The Community Life Survey provides official statistics on issues that are important to encouraging social action and empowering communities.
The Taking Part Survey has run since 2005 and is a key evidence source for DCMS. It is a continuous face to face household survey of adults aged 16 and over in England and children aged 5 to 15 years old. The Taking Part Survey provides national statistics on estimates of engagement with the arts, heritage, museums and libraries.
This release focuses on findings about volunteering collected through the surveys, in particular providing additional breakdowns by age and gender.
Period covered:
April 2017 to March 2018
