Statistics for quarters 1 and 2, 2014/15

DWP statisticians have identified an error in the recorded number of change of circumstances for Southend-on-Sea local authority for the period April to July 2014.

We have removed the data for this local authority from quarters 1 and 2, 2014/15 release in line with the UK Statistics Authority code of practice and DWP revisions policy.

This has resulted in a revision to the headline Great Britain estimate of the average time taken to process change of circumstance to Housing Benefit claims in June and July 2014. The overall quarters 1 and 2 estimates are not affected.

We’ve also revised the graph on page 3 of the statistical release October to December 2014 (quarter 3, 2014/15) for the period April to July 2014.

Note

An error has been identified for 2 of the subheadings of the historical Housing Benefit speed of processing tables. Norfolk’s local authorities have been listed under the subheading Suffolk and the subheading of Norfolk has been absent from its respective local authorities. This issue has been corrected for the January 2015 to March 2015 (quarter 4, 2014/15) publication.
