These statistics provide an early look at participants in the IWP trial.

The IWP trial is a Randomised Control Trial (RCT) that aims to test 3 different ways to support people in low paid work to progress in employment.

Claimants are randomly assigned to 1 of 3 groups. Following their initial meeting on entry to the trial, claimants in the first group meet their work coach every 8 weeks to get support and review the mandatory actions agreed in their claimant commitment. Claimants in the second group have fortnightly reviews. Claimants in group 3 receive an initial telephone appointment to establish voluntary actions, and a follow-up telephone appointment at week 8 to discuss progress.

The data is not yet sufficiently complete to support comparisons between the groups, so the information presented here is for all individuals enrolled in the trial. It is not a report on the trial outcome.
