The integrated ticketing report covers current practice in integrated ticketing, appetite and desire for it and barriers to using it.
The Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA’s) ‘Dynamic surveying for aviation’ report presents the results of a set of questions from the passenger survey add-on. The questions focused on passengers using UK airports that were foreign residents and the surface access options that were used and researched.
The Open Data Institute’s (ODI’s) ‘data sharing opportunities and challenges in the aviation sector’ report presents outcomes of a workshop with industry to explore better ways to share open aviation data with consumers to improve the passenger experience.
The Department for Transport has also published 3 international comparison briefing notes. These reports look at:
- how other European countries implement EU Regulation 261, whether they face the same issues as us, what processes they have for escalating complaints and what lessons the UK could learn for its own compensation structure
- whether the prevalence disruptive passengers is limited to UK airlines and passengers, or whether it’s an international problem and what happens in other countries about disruptive passengers (eg what the laws are around alcohol purchasing and consumption)
- international comparisons of border satisfaction
