Details

The reduction and reformulation spring 2019 update follows on from the year 1 progress report for the sugar reduction programme (published May 2018) which included a summary of progress for the programme as a whole.

The 2019 update details the actions Public Health England (PHE) has taken since May 2018, covering the period from June 2018 to February 2019.

This update does not contain any new assessment of the progress made by the food industry towards achieving the ambitions, guidelines or targets set across the reduction and reformulation programme.

The reduction and reformulation programme is overseen by PHE on behalf of the government as detailed in the childhood obesity plan.
