Details

Use this form if you are a recipient (an employee or representative) to whom an employer has entrusted any information or document and requires it to be held in confidence.

You may apply to the Central Arbitration Committee (CAC) for a declaration as to whether it was reasonable for the employer to require you to hold the information or document in confidence. This applies where there is a negotiated agreement in place or the standard provisions apply.

You should make your application to the CAC under Regulation 25(6) of the Information and Consultation Regulations 2004.

If you are an employer, the CAC will ask you to respond to an application made by an employee or representative.
